Sounds like your and your daughter are dealing with the phone thing sensibly.. I had a learning experience with my 2nd son, back before cell phones were very common.. He went on cross country class trip and had memorized my phone card numbers. By the time he got home the bill was over $800.. No matter how I tried to impress on him, the gravity of this situation, it didn't sink in.. A couple months later when he had advertised and sold his car, I had to sign the title over to complete the sale.. When the buyer started to hand over the cash (about $1200), I trust my hand out, took the money and then gave my son the balance after deducting the $800 for the phone bill. His mouth dropped open and then I got a sheepish node when I just said "phone bill". He is 30 now and is still very responsible with his affairs. Steve
