        Yep; not exactly news, although, you seem just to have noticed ;-).
I'm a former "charter" subscriber who cancelled his in '84, '85 or
thereabouts. It's sad to say, but Mom went slick and sold out quite some
time before the Shuttleworth's finally divested themselves of her. At
least TMEN did not develop the same supercilious self-righteousness as
did "Mother Jones" during _her_ later years; she just became
transparently thin, you might say.
