Look at it another way:  American consumers at all income levels have a
ravenous desire to buy what they want or need with as little expenditure
of their irreplaceable lifetime hours as possible.  Yes, time DOES equal
money.

So we should want to pay higher prices for what we want to buy?  Not
likely.

Well, actually it IS likely.  Are all those stories about merchandise
(cosmetics, mostly) quadrupling in sales volume when prices were doubled
true or just urban legends?
