I loved both my B&D steamers, but both died when the seals around the
heating element cracked over time.  I feel like I got my money's worth
on them, though.

After the 2nd B&D died I got a rice cooker that gets much use; that's
mainly what I was doing in the4 B&Ds anyhow.
