That's a good idea, but I don't think a single spinning beater
is nearly as effective as two beaters that spin in opposite directions
to force the batter between them.

I think you might find that a single beater might just spin the
dough around in a lump. Put some duct tape around the wire handle
and check that out before buying a separate beater.

In answer to your question, you might be able to find replacement
beaters at kmart or walmart.
