A cheap mixer beater

For lack of an more appropriate newgroup (please refer me if I'm
wrong), where could I buy just one beater for a hand mixer? The brand is
unimportant. It seems like something that should be available, since
electric hand mixers break, but I can see why most people would throw them
out with the mixer. Any thoughts on a cheap place?

Since I'm sure someone's curious, here's the reason I want this. I've been
trying to cook a bit more often lately, but I hate mixing things by hand.
I've found that putting a wire whisk into my cordless drill chuck works
reasonably well on lighter things. Sounds weird? I already own it, and it
has enough torque that nothing food related it going to bog it down. The
problem is that for thicker batter (like the pumpkin bread posted here a
few months ago) it will actually cause the wound wire handle to spin
instead of turning the rest of the whisk. I was thinking of ways to fix
the handle when I realized that an actual beater would be better.

So here I am. I can afford to buy a mixer, but for the once per 2 weeks
that I'd use it I'd rather try this.

Any thoughts?

Ben
