Fortunately, I paid for it with my American Express card, and even though Panasonic's best offer was to sell me a refurbished model for $75 (it only cost $100 to begin with), AMEX paid me in full for the phone. I bought a Uniden instead, for the same price (2 handsets). Hopefully this one will last longer (if not, I paid for it AMEX again, and it's from Costco so I could in theory return it to them). BIll
