Top of the line PC systems vs budget systems

"Why should I buy an RSOL system when I can get a new system from Dell or
Gateway for $399?" The budget systems from these manufacturers are designed
for one specific use only: email. Look at their specs and you'll see that
they come with a miserly 128MB of memory (RAM) installed and do not even
include a floppy disk drive! Microsoft recommends that a system has at least
128MB just so it can run Windows XP alone! So what happens when you want to
open another program once you reach the desktop? You're system is going to
run extremely slowly. Windows XP needs at least 256MB of RAM to run
efficiently, and the extra RAM that each RSOL system includes will ensure
that your system runs smoothly and quickly.  If you plan on creating CD's or
DVD's, setting up a wireless network in your home, playing games or
performing more complex tasks than just checking email, then the budget
systems from Dell and Gateway will just not be up to the task. Still not
convinced? Take a look at the specs for Gateway's 310SE which features a
near obsolete Intel Celeron 2.20 GHz processor, 40GB hard drive, basic
CD-ROM drive and 128MB of RAM ($399) and then compare it to their
"top-of-the-line" 710XL which features an Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz HT
processor, 2x250GB hard drives, DVD & CD burner and 1024 MB of RAM ($3499).
Can you see why the Gateway 710XL costs nearly 10 times more than their
310SE? Clearly the difference in price between these two Gateway systems is
attributable to the level of performance each of these systems can offer out
of the box, and the likelihood of being able to upgrade the key internal
components in the future. The Gateway 710X is a fantastic system that will
perform complex tasks with ease and will still be usable for many years
before it becomes obsolete. With that being said, all RSOL PC systems are
built using even newer technology (such as DDR400 memory and Serial ATA hard
drives) than what is currently available in the Gateway 710 XL. So what does
that mean to you?  Simply that your RSOL Crystal Series 3200-L3 PC (just
$2524) is more powerful and will have a longer life-span than any $3499
"top-of-the-line" Gateway 710XL.. That is almost a $1000 price difference!!
You just can't go wrong with a deal like that!
