Shipping questions desperately need answers

Hi,

I have just started a business. The first shipment is coming out of
Shanghai, China to Los Angeles. I got a quote online from FedEx and DHL and
it is 50% of the total value of the goods. I would like to know if anyone
know of any other reliable shipping companies out there I could use in order
to reduce the shipping cost and thus make some profit.
