I'm opening a small retail business, and I have 4 phone lines. 2 for voice, 1 for the CC machine, and 1 for fax (no handset on the fax machine, but I can return it, I haven't cracked the box). I was considering getting a 2 line phone for the front of the store, and a 4 line for the back, so I can use the fax line as an outgoing phone line and not tie up the incoming voice lines. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not wanting to spend a huge amount of money, but I am looking at the Panasonic KX-TG4000B, which is basically a 4 line base phone with a 4 line handset (that has a separate base). Problem: It's between $400 and $500, depending where I look. That's a little steep, and it has an answering machine, which I don't need, as I have voicemail. (or should I dump the VM?) OR, should i get a fax machine with a handset, and 2 2-line phones? Any suggestions that you have will be very helpful, Thanks, Maggie -- - Happiness is not having what you want, it's wanting what you have.
