OR See if you can recalculate your shipping-and-storage costs, then reduce it by having your freight stay en -route longer, thereby reducing your storage needs and expenses.. that may show a different profitability picture. And maybe You can try using a freight consolidator, shipping by Transpacific Liner,, Having shipper pay (F.O.B.) handling up to on-board at his end, and/ or buying in bigger bulk, even if you need to develop a partnership with a stateside bonded warehouse and buy back your freight in smaller Lots. Likewise, you may be better off having the freight arrive in canada and reshipping it from there. And you can always ask for the first Lot to be shipped Free by the Shipper as a quality test by locating a consignee who may be willing to do a free first time deal, thereby reducing your annual net cost somewhat, even though it was a one time deal.
