Here (Hilo, HI) there are a lot around the university and community college (if that fits your demographics - don't only think students, think staff and faculty as well), as well as some in and around outlying (contract) post offices, mom-and-pop stores in the country, local food places (not chains, and not the up-scale ones), small supermarkets (if that isn't an oxymoron in your area - it is becoming one here but wasn't 10 years ago), health food stores, laundromats, small businesses of all kinds (they may ask you to only post flyers that are related to the same area of business, like being animal related at the vet's offices), municipal parks.
