Lets call today Day 1. OK, no takers so far. I'm sure everyone would be very happy to generate 10k in business this month. Is the bar too high? I'd be happy to generate an extra 5k this month, but I wouldn't mind 10k, and I don't think the number is too far out of reason. Right now, I'm trying to put together a campaign that will bring in new consulting customers, hopefully on retainer. If I sell ten retainers for a grand a month -- that is five per week -- that will bring me ten grand this month and every month. Yes, its a lofty goal! Here's a question: how do I reach out, in person, to at least two or three hundred qualified business customers a day? Lets say that "qualified" means businesses with 10 or more employees and gross revenues of between $5 and $10MM a year. I can find these places, no problem, but how do I effectively get my foot into that many doors? (I'm working on some marketing material right now. I hope to post it tonight.) Mike
