One answer is to stress what you can bring to the table without knowing their
vertical market. For instance, objectivity, general business knowledge gained
through experience helping companies in other industries, etc. You are uniquely
qualified to come up with new answers.

If a prospect has many years experience in a market, I think it is not good
tactics to try to prove you know more than he does about that market.
