It sounds like they want you to sign the PO they are issuing to you to
acknowledge the order.  This is done by some companies to make sure you
agree to their terms and conditions.  before signing it take time to read
the fine print of the terms and conditions.  I have seen scary items tucked
in the fine print on the back of some corporate PO forms.

Once you sign it you have acknowledged contract and agreed to the terms as
presented on PO.
