Maybe this is much like a Work For Hire agreement. Do you need to come up with the agreement yourself? > I am doing Research for them. If you are the inventor or a co-inventor, then your name must appear in the patent, or the patent is not valid. > > Is this abnormal? > > Secondly, in order to assertain this, I want to attach a piece of > paper and state something before my signature that my signature is > valid with the agreement from the company for the attachment. Could you restate that? I'm having a little difficulty following your post. Maybe some background on what you're doing will help. Also, the newsgroup misc.int-property might be a good resource for you. That group discusses issues such as this every day. If you are looking for something more than discussion re. these matters, you're going to have to hire a lawyer. However, there is a lot to be learned from discussion, and if you have the time, I suggest you learn as much as possible about these issues before you move forward. Mike
