I've been munging my email address for years (even though I didn't
know it had a name!), and I get very little spam.  5 or 6 spam
messages a day is a heavy day.

I highly recommend posting instructions and reminders on the
newsgroups periodically, and possibly sending emails to post with
non-munged addresses.
