New York, NY––Demonstrating an appreciation for all music
genres, Bardic Records announces the signing of their first four
acts––singer songwriters Ben Arthur and Jennifer Marks,
hard rock group Brand New Sin and street poet cum rapper Knowledge the
Pirate.

Virginia native Ben Arthur has been the center of much industry
attention as of late. With strong songwriting abilities and a quirky
slant, Arthur was a perfect fit with Bardic. Similarly, when Bardic
first heard Jennifer Marks songwriting skills and vocals, she was
immediately signed.

Both artists are currently at work on their debut records with Mike
Shipley (Shania Twain, Def Leppard, Faith Hill, Aerosmith, India.Arie)
co producing and mixing.

In keeping with their credo of internal synergy, Bardic will be
joining Arthur and Marks together on a promotional tour beginning in
October.

Syracuse-based rock band Brand New Sin have music industry
experience–– their first album was released on Now or
Never Records and topped the Aggro radio charts last year. Brand New
Sin has been winning fans from all corners, drawing accolades from the
likes of Zakk Wylde and Josie Scott (Saliva). The band uses three
guitarists in creating their unique brand of bone crunching rock.
Their first release for Bardic is slated for the second quarter in
2004.

Battling rhymes on street corners in New York, New Jersey and
Philadelphia his whole life, Knowledge the Pirate spits truth with the
ferocity of a volcano. In his song, "Am I To Blame", Knowledge takes
us on an autobiographical and historical journey with spine chilling
poetry that is his trademark. Knowledge is currently at work on his
debut album.

Created by music veteran Jack Ponti and financial leaders Akbar Shamji
and Francois Pham-Quang, Bardic Records is a record label and
incubator for undiscovered, independent and online artistic talent.
Based in London and New York, Bardic provides artists with the
critical financial, creative, and internal resources necessary for
growth, acting as an “incubator” to help artists through
their most critical periods of development. Bardic Records will be
distributed exclusively by RED/Sony in North America.
