The private armies you call 'civilian militia' are a collection of misfits and crazies who think by stealing them name 'militia' they can get around the government and do all kinds of illegal things. 1. They aren't a militia. They are a private army. They think misinterpreting Title 10 of the U.S. Code and applying a dodge dating back from 1830 somehow makes them one. Private armies are illegal in this country. Bona fide militias were NEVER designed as a 'power check' on the government. That is a myth. 2. Even if they WERE a militia, they would still have to obey the orders of the governor of their state, and in certain circumstances, the Federal Government, a fact which they cannot get around, no matter how hard they try. This fact must really chap their asses when it's thrown in their faces. 3. The National Guard is not the federally-run Army. The Guard is a creature of the states which can be federalzed under certain circumstances. As for it throwing people into slave camps, get a grip. You guys were saying this paranoid fantasy almost TEN years ago and posting pictures of abandoned World War II internment camps. Hell, in one case, you clowns even gave the location of a prospective slave labor camp that is an extension office in Tennessee. S. Olson
