I think there's some truth in that.

I read an article not long ago that advanced the theory that if you want to
understand his motivation, which sometimes seems incomprehensible, you must
remember that he is a "born again" Christian.  When he was an alcoholic his
father introduced him to Billy Graham and under Graham's guidance he was
able to overcome the problem.  This apparently made a deep impression on
him.
