Thank you for giving me a new perspective on Loge, one of my favorite
characters of the Ring. I have always thought of him as the cunningest and
most charismatic of wits -- perhaps I too would have been done in by his
charm. The parallels between him and Mephistopheles I have never noticed
before.

But I think the nature of his character can be best conveyed through the
very element he represents: fire, and the old adage is true, that you should
not play with it.
