Mmmm... some people prefer to pay for their MP3's knowing that they'll
get a reliable download that will complete 100%, that the file is
complete and untampered with, that's it a good quality recording, etc.
Now just to show how wrong you are about people paying 99 cents, Apple
are selling 1.5 million per week.

And it's not even available in Europe yet.

Err, let me see : as MP3 (i.e., compressed format, not that great for a
hifi system), no booklets, no nice pictures and such. At a higher price
(on average). Example :

Plaid, « not for threes ». 17 tracks. $15,98 on amazon. $16,83 for
download.

So pretty interesting for the record label, indeed. Not so sure for the
artists, and definitely not for the customers, I think.

On a positive note, making the entire catalog so available is nice, and
using a standard format (MP3) is a step in the right direction. But at
that price, it's a rip off.

[Just my opinion]

Martin

hello,

this is just a curiosity
i was watching a german documentary about optic toys and things like that
called "Film before Film". it's from 1986.
at some point i could hear domestica distinctively at the background... the
hole song, without the volcal and effects but the same sounds, melody, the
basic stuff. i sang along so i'd prove to myself that i wasn't wrong.
does anyone know about this?
the documentary original title is "Was geshah wirklich zwischen den
Bildern?"

thank you
ana
