Atmel At91Eb55 with chameleon pod

Hi

I was wondering if there is anyone with
an working connection between a chameleon POD ( amontec )
and an at91eb55 board from atmel.
I can program the POD but neither in Raven nor in Wiggler "mode" 
connects to my target.
( OCD commander and multi2000V3.6 don´t work )
Thing is, there is a jumper ( cb15 ) on the board which let´s choose
between "ice" and "jtag". the thing was hardwired to "ice", I cut the
wire and soldered it to "jtag". A dude from atmel told me to do so.
Was this a good idea anyway ?
