Sigh, in the recent flurry of messages from Pavel, all the others came out as plain text (therefore readable by me) but this one came as MIME-quoted-printable (therefore turned into hash by my news reader), so I'm seeing it indirectly in Ian's message. Every so often someone proposes this, and I post my story about having tried it at one of the MIT Logo conferences, but I'm sure Pavel's seen that story and still wants to try, so I have to post something new: 1. What would be the common intersection in a standard that includes Elica and StarLogo and Microworlds? (Imagine isn't in this list because it overlaps more with UCBLogo and therefore with past Logo history.) I bet nothing but words and sentences, the same result as last time. Even turtles didn't make the cut, because of Music Logo for the Apple II, which left out turtles altogether in order to leave room for Jeanne Bamberger's music primitives. 2. The people least likely to be influenced by such an effort, namely LCSI and Terrapin, are the 600-pound-gorillas (giant turtles?) of our little world.
