Version 1.4.2_01 (build 1.4.2_01-b06)

Hi

I have recently installed Java Virtual machine (Version 1.4.2_01 (build
1.4.2_01-b06)), to my xp machine, as advised to provide functionality to a
new application.

Unfortunately this has stopped an older application from working, generating
the error "Applet Umb notinited".

This did work, prior to the latest install, without anything being added to
a standard xp install.

As the earlier application is more important than the latter, how can I get
the earlier to work? I have tried restoring the os to a pre JVM
installation, and uninstalling the JVM application, but cannot get the old
application to work.
