I'm using WINE to get at least one web editor (WYSIWYG type) to work. I've got a version from August of this year and I'm using Mandrake Linux 9.2. C: is assigned to /var/lib/wine and I'm trying to install programs. When I try wine dcom95.exe I get: Warning: could not find wine config [Drive x] entry for current working directory /; starting in windows directory. /usr/bin/wine.bin: cannot open 'C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\?.exe' I understand I need dcom95.exe to install other programs. When I try to install one of the other programs (Websphere Home Page Builder from IBM), I get: You need to merge the 'winedefault.reg' file into your wine registry by running: 'regedit winedefault.reg' NOTE: 'winedefault.reg' can be found in /usr/share/wine/confisamples and /var/lib/wine I have not found the 'winedefault.reg' file anywhere, so I can't figure out where to get it (a search on Google gives me mailing list messages, but nothing telling me where I could download this file). I'm not quite sure where to go from here. I've tried winesetuptk and it seems to set everything up. I tried xwine and winetools. Whenever I try winetools, the registry editor does not work (although it does work when I type 'regedit' from the command line). I'm not quite sure where to go from here. From everything I've read, it sounds like dcom should install quickly and easily. I've used winetools to install dcom98.exe, but I don't see for sure that it does anything (I get a download progress window, then it closes and nothing tells me if it installed or not). Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for any ideas/help. Hal
