I think you need at least v7.x of the client software to be fully compatible with Windows 2000/XP. Version 4.0 is about 6 years old. The only place to get updated software is through Nortel. The client isn't really needed if you can live without some of the functions (those based on user name restricions/permissions). I think the v4 administration tools do need IPX though.
