I have a client that has ATM installed at 3 sites and FR at 2. For some reason AT&T didn't install ATM and went with 1.54Mbps FR when implementing. I am receiving responses to my RFQ from other vendors now and hearing rumors that AT&T can't do anything higher than 1.54 on FR, while AT&T is saying that's not true, but when asked why they originally installed FR instead of ATM at those two site, I get wishy washy answers. Anyway, not that ATM and FR have anything to do with each other, the service is VoIP, the transports just happen to be different at each location.
Point. Is there any truth to these rumors about AT&T being limited to provisioning only up to 1.54 on FR or is it spin?
