performance issue on Progress 9.1B

Hi all,

We have a server on Linux SuSE 8.
1Go memory and 2 procs AMD 1.2 Go
Disks scsi raid 5.

I have every week some performance issue with my databases.
I have a licence 49 users.
Every time we approach these 49 users, the system goes very slow.

Some progress process seems to be defunct but takes 99% of total process.

Shutdown the databases don't kill all the processes and the defunct
continues taking 99% of process.

The databases can't be stopped normaly , I need to ask for an emergency
shutdown.

After restarting the system, all is ok.

Anyone knows where I can find à solution.
