At the low end, not much.  You do have to buy an OS, either with the
purchase of the server (and factored into the price), or on your own.

As the power and price rise, you see multi-CPU motherboards with higher
RAM capacity, server-class CPUs (Xeon/Itanium), redundancy, different form
factor cases, etc.
