Morning Mark,

first up, your example of Webby stuff with PL/SQL makes very interesting
reading. Thanks.

Next, yes I saw the post about 'misuse' and charters. Sounds like a
totally useless waste of your time to me (assuming you get voted in) for
the one main reason that everyone here is human (allegedly) and as such,
certain rules don't always apply :o)

You'll still find spam postings here instead of on c.d.o.marketplace etc,
because the people doing it (a) don't read the rules (b) if the have then
they don't apply them and (c) they keep coming back time after time. Don't
forget where you heard it first. (And, if I can start a sentence with
'and', the worst offenders are usually the DB"/MS SQL trolls - who don't
give a toss about rules and regs, after all, it isn't their new group. Sad
but true!)

Now, as for Scotsmen and football/rugby - I agree that they are not
strictly Oracle related, but in the many years I've been here we have had
many conversations that 'degenerated' into other things - they always
will. Check out the archives on Google and see for yourself - Pink Floyd,
David Bowie (Hi Richard), Scotsmen, Weather, Football, Rugby, Cricket, and
other rants and raves. (Ok, I lied about 'weather' !)

It will continue to happen because it doesn't usually take up much
bandwidth.

Ah yes, but only Rugby Union, not that silly Rugby League game for Jessies
:o) <G,D&R>

We may got off topic a bit from time to time, but we are civil.

Cheers,
Norm.

PS. Is there any mention of making sure that one snips one's posts
appropriately in the rules :o) <insert evil laugh here>
