Oracle Pharmaceutical Applications middle tier server administrator

 

Job description 

Install and configure Oracle middle tier server for Oracle Pharmaceutical Applications 
(OPA). Provide on-going middle tier administration support for OPA. Assist project 
team in implementing new version. Apply patches and upgrade as needed. Work with other 
teams such as application support and DBA to address customer issues. Research and 
resolve issues with Oracle Support. Monitor OPA middle tier servers to prevent failure 
and maintain acceptable performance. Perform after-hour on-call duties to support 
global users.

 

Qualification

 

*                     Two years administration experience working with Oracle middle 
tier technology stack which includes Oracle 9i Application Server and its components 
such as Oracle Forms server, Oracle Report server, and Oracle Apache server is 
required;

*                     One year experience working with any Oracle Pharmaceutical 
Applications components such as Oracle Clinical (OC), Remote Data Capture (RDC), 
and/or Thesauthus Management System (TMS) is highly desired. Should have completed at 
least one upgrade implementation cycle;

*                     Experiences working with other Oracle Applications such as 
Oracle Applications 11i implementing the similar Oracle middle tier technology stack 
is helpful;

*                     Experiences with Windows 2000 operating system as an 
administrator helpful;

*                     General understanding of network, load balancing, and J2EE 
technologies;

*                     Experiences working in a regulated environment and understanding 
of the implementation life cycle from Development, System Testing, User Acceptance 
Testing, and Proudction rollout is helpful.  

*                     Experience preparing technical documentation.

*                     Experience working in a large, geographically distributed 
project team. Can deliver within tight schedule and under pressure;

*                     Oracle Database Administration experience helpful but not 
required;
