a successful technology entrepreneur and his business enterprises. We
are immediately seeking for a best of breed software developer who is
a true enthusiast for world-class operations excellence as well as
disruptive emerging technologies and applications. This is an

We are located at beautiful coasts of south California, 15 miles south
of Irvine, 60 miles south of Los Angeles,  and 70 miles of north of
San Diego.

Responsibilities:

        The Member of Technical Staff will be working in a unique environment
responsible for (a) design and develop control system software for
cutting-edge media systems and residential automation systems, and
develop integration, test and support plans that achieve superb
reliability and usability; (b) R & D on key areas for technology and
product development within a core expertise, and other engineering
responsibilities in accordance with the roles established by the
Director of Technology. Specifically as follows:

1)      Control system software development: 
a.      Design and develop control system software for state-of-the-art
media systems, including audio and video sourcing and
termination/display equipment, routing switcher, control processor,
media storage, media distribution networks and content management.
b.      Design and develop control system software for automatic control of
executive office and residential systems, including: projectors and
whiteboards; HVAC & environmental control; appliances and lights
control; window, drape and blind control; phone and intercom control;
sensor control; video and surveillance cameras; security alarms and
systems; gates and garages; pools and spas; and any electric or
electronic system.
c.      Define a unified open software architecture that enables system
control from a variety of platforms such as wireless and mobile
devices, tablet PCs, and PDAs; Integrate disparate legacy systems into
the open software architecture; Deploy the open architecture software
to new building locations.
d.      Achieve best-in-class usability and reliability.
e.      Create system standards and develop documentations.

2)      Engineering R & D: 
a.      Research on technologies and solutions with special emphasis on
media and smart-office/home control technologies, wireless and mobile,
internetworking and systems.
b.      Incubate emerging technologies that have disruptive applications.
c.      System design, integration, testing and prototyping.

Qualifications:

1)      A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in software
architecture, design and development, preferably experience of chief
software architect role.
2)      You must have track-record experience in all phases of software
development life cycle, with demonstrated expertise on architecture,
design and implementation.
3)      Application design and programming skills in OOD/A/P, C, C++, Java,
XML, JSP, J2EE and N-Tier as wells as extensive knowledge of low level
system drivers is required.
4)      Experience with Crestron and AMX control system software
development is highly desirable.
5)      Media content management system skills are desirable.
6)      Experience with high availability networks for military, broadcast,
control system and media production applications a plus.
7)      Experience with integrated audio, video, voice and data a plus.
8)      Database development skills a plus.
9)      Superb technical documentation skills, attention to detail,
excellent verbal and communication skills, managing time effectively
and according to priorities.
10)     To be successful in this challenging position, it requires a
strong startup entrepreneur mindset, maturity and professionalism.
11)     A bachelors' degree in computer science, electrical engineering,
information technology, telecommunications, physics or mathematics is
required. Masters degree or higher is preferred.
