Language Recognition for Oracle 9i Text

I have an Oracle Text application which ingests documents in a variety 
of languages.  It would be helpful if, prior to indexing, the language 
of the document could be determined.  Does anyone know of a relatively 
accurate (and relatively cheap) language recognition module that could 
be used to inspect a document, then pass me the language name?
