using high lookahead value

Hello, I am using Antlr.

I am curious when I set the lookahead value high,
if it is always helpful to reduce ambiguity.

Is there no bad point when I set lookahead value high?
(If I don't care the speed of my compiler)

I would like to know if there is something I should pay instead
when I set a high lookahead value.
