SW04 Extruded Cut question

I am trying to make an extruded cut of a rectangular profile into the side
of an elliptical solid.  I want the cut to go into the side of the solid
exactly 2mm.  In previous SW versions I was using offset from surface but
for some reason I am coming up empty with this one.  Any ideas appreciated.
