But if you are going to be doing a lot of this 2D to 3D work in the future, may I suggest you try this *free* software from PTC: http://ptc.com/products/packages/autobuildz.htm This is the problem everyone is trying to solve: how to get from legacy 2d to 3d solids. There's got to be an easier way and it looks like PTC is working on it. David Janes
