Changing the appearance of ddedit (edit text)

When I edit a text (with ddedit) in AutoCAD2004LT the text is shown
magnified on a semi-transparent background. Is it possible to show the text
in original scale and on a non-transparent background when I edit the text?
I have searched but not found a way to change this, does someone know how to
do it?
