the express tools are running from two separate folders.
this is what i mean..

Opening an AutoCAD 2000 format file.
Substituting [simplex.shx] for [MSURVEY.SHX].

Resolve Xref "2277R102lEGAL": Q:\022277\XREF\2277R102Legal.dwg
"2277R102lEGAL" loaded.

Resolve Xref "2277RP111Dyke": Q:\022277\XREF\2277RP111Dyke.dwg
