I was trying to imagine vertical mousing along the lines of vertical keyboards: http://gizmodo.net/archives/001825.php the nearest I've seen is: http://amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00007L6I5/002-5647202-1190405 but even that still seems to have poor precision which would be a problem with CAD.
