Automating Title Blocks ?

I am making custom title blocks.

How can I automatically get the inserted titleblock to prompt me for such
things as ...

Part number.....Manual input
Drawn date......To "grab" the system clock date
Material...........Manual input
Drawn By........Manual input

and then have the data go into the right "box" in my titleblock..

Ive been playing with attributed but that doesnt seem to be working
right...I know I am not the first person to automate title blocks, so can
someone point me in the right direction ??
