Problems with Norton Anti Spam 2004

I have recently installed this product on XP Pro SP1.  It is very good
at removing spam.  However, as often as not, when I start the PC,
processor uilization rises to and stays at 100%.  This is due to the
ccApp.exe process which is a Symantec shared application that makes
sure Norton services start.  I also have Norton Systemworks 2002
installed and guessed that there was some sort of version mismatch
with Norton Antivirus 2002(part of Systemworks) and Antispan 2004. 
However, removing Anti Virus made no difference.  Has anyone else come
across this and perhaps found a resolution?

Symantec have a good website but offer no free way to post/resolve new
issues - which is rubbish
