Here's one I would like to throw out to anyone who may know the answer... A friend of mine has an IBM Thinkpad designed for and running Windows 98. It has a particianed Hard drive. (Drives C: and D:) All main programs are on D. Windows and some other components are on C. THE PROBLEM: Anytime you open a window with the icon D: on it it freezes up and you have to reboot. It is a windows-only bug because You can access D: and all its components through DOS. Opening My computer is out of the question. I realize we could reformat the HD and reload Windows, but the CD-ROM drive is broken and we couldn't find an MS-DOS driver for the external USB burner. Drive C is completely full. It does have a 3.5 inch floppy drive and PCMCIA slots, if that is any help. If anyone knows how to fix the bug in the D section of the HD then please let me know.
