EXPLORER ERROR

hi,

u all may have faced this problem "explorer error or illegal
operation" either due 2 virus or clash with some other application or
may be bcaz of memory problem in win-95/98 environment.

in this situation u cant even log inside u r pc (soon after appearing
desktop this error message pops up......which prevents the user 2
enter or perform any other operation totally)

but if lets say u r facing this problem due 2 virus problem (u may
some times wish 2 format u r HDD in this case prior formating the HDD
if u want 2 take backup follow the following steps)

this works well under & mostly in win95/98 os.
go2 start menu--->select run--->type sysedit--->then press enter
when sysedit opens go2 system.ini file
there u will find SHELL=EXPLORER.EXE
replace this with SHELL=WINFILE.EXE then save u r settings, restart u
r pc,
then insted of explorer u will find winfile (old & similar 2 explorer
programme of windows 4 workgroup 3.11) copy all u r data
