W2K and missing config

Hi there,
I hope I am in the right group; I apologize if I've intruded
inadvertently.
I have W2K, and many PC problems at the moment. It was recommended to
me to start fixing by running MSCONFIG. However, whenever I type it
into 'run', it coms up cannot find the file, make sure path, file and
libraries etc are correct'. what could this be about? How can I access
my MSCONFIG, (and yes, I am typing it in as one word), and/or fix this
inaccesibility?
