That's why you have this message. Go to BIOS,change the boot sequence, in order to be, first FDD, second CD, third HDD and try again having put the XP CDROM in the drive. If you still facing problem, delete the HDD from the BIOS's boot sequence and boot from CDROM. If you again facing problem, delete the HDD record completely from the BIOS and boot from CDROM. XP is bypassing the BIOS and will recognize your HDD after having boot from CD. After the installation first reboot restore the BIOS to the preavious form. This trick is working in some BIOS not all.
