Are you sure ? SCSI is the only remaining communication channel wich
is parallel, except for internal bus or chip to chip communication.
Everything else is serial : SATA, ethernet up to 10 Go, Firewire,
FCAL, Sonet, etc... There is a mix of high and low bandwith
communication here. SCSI is thinking about going serial too. And even
PCI is challenged by the serial link InfiniBand, used for example in
the famous BigMac G5 cluster .
