Assert Failure when installing ATLAS in IRIX 6.5

Hi all,
      I am getting an error when istalling ATLAS 3.4.2 in IRIX 6.5 OS.
The error is like this
when running xmmsearch, 
"assert failure in line 335, ../mmsearch.c 
Assert(fscanf(fp, "%lf", &mflop[i])==1)
"
I tried in three different systems with the same OS, but the error
same.
can anyone give me how to solve this problem.
