No, I am saying that the Pentium 4 "Netburst" architecture was designed to do chores such as video compression really well. Any job that requires little state to be maintained but requires lots of data flow, will work best on a Pentium 4 or related chip.


It is like the difference between a Top Fuel Dragster and a Grand Prix race car. Both are designed for the ultimate performance, but performance measured in different ways.
