Tbbs rocks....
The internet is great(hmm I say that with 99% of this group being spam)
But at times I miss the bbs days, I got into Tbbs from a book I bought.
I've not had a bbs in years, but maybe this telnet bbs may just be the
thing.
Is running a BBS on telnet very hard to set up, any software that makes it
easier?

It's hard, but getting easier. The bad thing about TBBS is that it needs to be run on a dedicated DOS box and to connect it to the internet you either need an IPAD or a Windows machine running TIAD. So right away you've got at least two machines with one dedicated entirely to the BBS.

On the flip side if you dedicate both boxen to your BBS you can process mail full-time, run non-TBBS door games, and do a few cool web tricks.

All in all it's not really a system for the faint of heart, but then again it wasn't back in the 90's either. :)
